September in the Cotswolds

September is a beautiful time to visit the Cotswolds. With the leaves starting to turn and the fields taking on a lovely warm honey colour, we get a glimpse at the first signs of Autumn. But with plenty of long days and warm evenings still ahead, there’s so much to enjoy this month. Here’s what you can look forward to in September!

Moreton-in-Marsh Show

A traditional one-day agricultural and horse show, Moreton Show is a wonderful fun-filled country day out for all the family. As one of the largest country shows in the UK, there is so much to see and do. From show jumping and livestock parades to homeware and local food stalls, there is something for everyone at this charming country event. Don’t forget the dog!

Harvest Festival at Daylesford Farm

Spanning across two days, this is a Harvest Festival that’s not to be missed! Head to Daylesford Organic Farm on 17th and 18th September and enjoy a celebration of food and drink, live music, entertainment and family-friendly fun. Whether you would prefer to enjoy a hot air balloon ride, the famous Daylesford Dog Show or listen to one of the celebrity guest speakers, we’re sure you will have a wonderfully festive day out. Batsford Arboretum

As Autumn starts to creep in and the leaves start to change colour, there’s no better time to take a stroll through this impressive arboretum. With wide, established paths and plenty of space, there’s fun for all to be had at this beautiful natural site. Meander under the towering trees before settling down with a hot drink at the quaint cafe - ideal for a morning of relaxed fun in the Cotswolds.

Music at Stow

If live music is your thing, the much-anticipated ‘Music at Stow’ will be the perfect way to spend a relaxing evening or two. Between the 15th and 17th September, head over to the picturesque Cotswolds town of Stow-on-the-Wold and enjoy an evening of musical entertainment performed by World-class Jazz, classical guitar and R&B musicians.
