Jubilee Celebrations in the Cotswolds

There’s no better place to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee this summer than in a quintessentially British Cotswold village. Often described as one of the most picturesque areas of the UK, you are sure to create wonderful memories nestled amongst traditional Cotswold stone and wonderfully festive bunting. To help you celebrate in style, we have created this guide to the most celebratory festivities in the Cotswolds over the Jubilee weekend.

Moreton-in-Marsh

Right on the doorstep of all our properties, gather together with the locals this Jubilee weekend in the charming village of Moreton-in-Marsh. On Sunday 5th June at 10:30am, join us at the village school for an open air service celebrating Her Majesty’s reign, followed by a bring-your-own picnic and games. Pack your chairs and a picnic rug and get ready for an afternoon of British entertainment.

Broadway

From Thursday 2nd until Sunday 5th June, amble over to Broadway and be amazed by the scope of events on offer over the weekend. Watch the Jubilee Parade potter through town, pack your favourite sandwiches and a cashmere throw and enjoy the festivities of a picnic on the village green, or wrap up warm and enjoy one of the many open-air film screenings. You can also take part in the national lighting of the beacons at Broadway Tower, as well as visit local trade stalls and all that is typical of a quintessentially British village fair.
