Festivals and Fairs in the Cotswolds

Whether it’s a feast of mouth-watering foods and locally produced drinks, or dancing the night away to gentle jazz music under a starry sky, there’s nowhere more idyllic to get your dose of festivities and cheer than the stunning Cotswolds. Ticket availability varies so it’s worth looking up options in advance, but here’s a few of our favourite festivals and Cotswold fairs the whole family will enjoy.

Cheltenham Jazz Fest

One of the country’s best-loved jazz festivals, Cheltenham Jazz Festival is a music festival like no other. Celebrating all genres of jazz and championing international jazz icons, up-and-coming new artists and unique festival performances, you are sure to find yourself toe-tapping along right from the start. With a variety of ticketed and free-entry performances to choose from, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the festivities.

The Big Feastival

The Big Feastival represents classic summer entertainment for a friendly crowd from all walks of life. A classic festival with a countryside twist, there is plenty to see and do for the whole family. Enjoy live music from the UK’s biggest artists, demonstrations from Michelin star chefs, award-winning street food and an exciting array of family-friendly activities. The festival is based at Alex James’ Farm near Kingham and runs over a long weekend in August.

Daylesford Summer Festival

Spanning across two days, this is a Summer Festival that’s not to be missed! Head to Daylesford Organic Farm on 17th and 18th June and enjoy a celebration of food and drink, live music, entertainment and family-friendly fun. Whether you would prefer to enjoy a hot air balloon ride, watch a dancing digger display, try puppy yoga, or listen to one of the celebrity guest speakers, this is sure to be a wonderfully festive day out.

Park Fair

The three day boutique fair in Great Tew is back for its second year for a weekend of old-fashioned fun with a modern country twist! Celebrating independent fashion and lifestyle brands, live music, family entertainment and plenty of nostalgic fairground rides, you can enjoy a classic festival atmosphere and a curated shopping experience at Park Fair. There’s also a children’s activity schedule to keep your little ones entertained, and doggy day care for your four-legged friends.

Wychwood Festival

A growing festival with an intimate atmosphere, you can expect all your favourite festival activities plus more at Wychwood Festival. The Christmas Cotswold Fair

It’s never too early to start planning ahead for Christmas! If you are looking for something to ease yourself into the festive spirit later this year, we recommend a trip to Daylesford Organic Farm between 6th and 9th November, where you can enjoy a Christmas fair like no other.
