Snowdrops at Painswick Rococo Garden

For a few weeks at the start of Spring, the beautiful hidden valley which forms the Rococo Garden is carpeted with white Snowdrops. With fifteen known varieties sprawled across the grounds, this is truly a photo-worthy destination to enjoy during your visit. Meander through the gardens and discover enchanted woodland, guided activities and plenty of space for free play for those visiting with children during half-term.

Birdland Park and Gardens

For a wonderful day out for the whole family, head over to the beautiful town of Bourton-on-the-Water and spend the day meeting the flamingos, penguins, parrots and many more exotic birds at Birdland. With over 150 exotic and rare species to discover, beautifully landscaped grounds and a free play are for the children, there is plenty to see and do at this wildlife paradise.

Compton Verney Art Gallery

Set aside an afternoon to visit the stunning Compton Verney Art Gallery, a magnificent 18th-century mansion surrounded by 120 acres of parkland landscaped by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. Home to impressive collections, including 16th-century Germanic art, 17th-century Neapolitan art, British portraiture and Chinese bronzes, this beautiful gallery is set among stunning gardens that encourage slow strolls on a sunny day. There is also a lively programme of exhibitions, workshops, family events and wellness activities, so you won’t be short of things to do.

The beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds are bursting with eclectic, independent shops that are waiting to be explored. Lose yourself in the weekly markets, enjoy the plethora of antiques shops and clothing stores, and explore the infamous farm shops with their local and sustainable produce. The Cotswolds is home to some of the very best dining experiences in the UK. From chic restaurants to cosy pubs, you won’t be short of places to wine and dine while you’re here. One of our favourites is the The Wild Rabbit in Kingham, which offers an award-winning menu that places a contemporary twist on traditional British cooking. With a roaring open fire and a fabulous wine list, this is a wonderful place to enjoy a romantic evening for two.
